This is Hiromi Miyake’s snatch at the Rio Olympics.

July 22, 2017

This is Hiromi Miyake’s snatch at the Rio Olympics. Her technique may look terrible but it won her a bronze with a total weight of 81kg. Not bad for a 48kg female. Clearly she was aiming for a technically perfect snatch however the prehabilitation she would have performed in preparation for the Olympics saved her when things went wrong. The strain dropping into squat with an internal rotation of the knee would snap any normal ACL, medial collateral ligament and meniscus of the knee. By performing certain exercises we can bulletproof ourselves against injury. What sports do you do? How can you prehabilitate your body against injury. Things go wrong in life…prepare for it!
