Strength and mobility go hand in hand. How can you be strong if you can’t move through a range of motion. This exercise builds abdominal compression strength to allow me to push down hard into the ground to lift myself. It’s also an exercise to develop stalder press, quads, pancake splits etc etc… don’t train in isolation because your body understands movements not individual muscles.
