our body is very good at adapting to what you do with it. Do nothing with it, or put your body through a very limited range of movement (like most gym goers) then your body gets good at doing nothing. Joints become restricted and muscles become short. The result is an immobile fragile body (despite it looking great if you are a gym goer). 🏋️ Your body needs movement in order to adapt to life’s curve balls. If your body can’t move or you can’t efficiently deal with movement outside of a neutral position you will at some point get injured. Get in there first and create new movement and make yourself more bulletproof! This ‘body limber takes about 7 minutes and it’s something I do every morning. Taking your body through a full range of movements each day is vital to maintaining good mobility. 10 rotations each way through each joint is a good start to every day. I’m not trying to stretch anything here…I’m just moving my joints through their maximum easily available range of movement. If you find any pain, for example your lower back hurts when you do hip rotations, then move your hips around the border of where the painful movement occurs. It’s worth noting down theee areas as it will help in diagnosis for your Osteopath.
