Hip mobility is crucial in good biomechanics.
Hip mobility is crucial in good biomechanics. If we lose mobility in our hips we have to find mobility in other joints. In particular, our knees and lower backs are affected by tight hips. This exercise is great for opening up your hips… First, passively stretch your hips with your elbow, then actively mobilise them by switching on your glutes to move your knee out. 10 reps each side, then a 10 second hold as far out as you can hold it. Repeat on the other side. You can do this exercise against a wall if you still don’t have your free standing squat.
